Olympiacos organizes multisport days for refugees

The European project ‘’You’re Hope’’ - which Olympiacos is the main coordinator - continues with the main stage of its implementation which involves the organization of multisport activities for refugees.
As part of this action, the club plans two multisport events at the sports facilities of the Stadium ''G. Karaiskakis'' on 26 and 28 September, giving these people the opportunity to live the sport experience practicing various sport under the guidance of the Academies’ coaches. These events will take place simultaneously with #Be Active, encouraging fans to help and embrace the club's initiative to integrate refugees into the local community of Piraeus. Similar actions are scheduled by the other two participants (Levski-Sport For all, Aalborg) in their respective local communities in the next month.

In few words, ‘’You’re Hope’’ is a project co-funded by the Erasmus+ programme of the European Union and coordinated by Olympiacos with the involvement of Levski-Sport for all, AaB and EMCA. The aim is clear: promoting the social integration of refugees through sports in the local communities of the partners and increasing the awareness of the society. The most important actions of the projects are the research about the sport preferences of the refugees and the organization of multisport activities for them with the participation of professional athletes, coaches and supporters.
